2013: Seven Consecutive Air Travel Upgrades

• To je rijetko da se nadogradnju, mnogo manje 7 uzastopnih nadogradnje dok će leti preko 5 različitih airlines

Imam privilegiju da redovito letjeti kao dio moje karijere jer sam završio fakultet. U 2012, Imala sam neobičan susret s Bogom. Ogroman milosti mi je dao kad me Bog da iskuse 7 uzastopnih nadogradnje za putovanje zrakoplovom. Ono što je nevjerojatno je da nisam tražio nadogradnje, ali jednostavno mi je dano! Međutim, kad sam dobio "pohlepni" i pitao za nadogradnju, I didn’t get it. These upgrades took place across 5 različitih airlines - Delta, Alaska Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Silkair i jurnuti Airlines. Međutim, to nije lako dobiti nadogradnje u mojim godinama putovanja, a 7 U nizu nadogradnje je jednostavno nevjerojatno.

21 Srpanj 2012 - To je bio početak mog neobičnog susreta s Bogom za putovanje zrakoplovom. Sam je ponudio poslovne klase nadogradnju iz Atlante u New Yorku na DL1642. Zar ne pitajte za nju. Upravo sam ga dobio. Bio sam presretan kada check-in polaznik ponudio mi. To je nadogradnja #1 od 7.

22 Srpanj 2012 - Proveo sam vikend u New Yorku. Kao što sam tarifni natrag u Singapuru, Pomislio sam, "Hmmm. Imam nadogradnju poslovne klase iz Atlante u New York dan prije. Pitam se, ako sam samo trebao pitati za nadogradnju iz New Yorka u Narita, Japan ". Kao što sam pravopisa u, Dobio sam 'ambiciozan' i iščupati dovoljno hrabrosti da pitam Delta ček na asistencije Johna F. Zračna luka Kennedy. Pogodite što?

23 Srpanj 2012 - Proveo sam nekoliko kratkih sati u tranzitu u zračnoj luci Narita. Kao što sam s mukom moje umorne jetlagged tijelo na vrata, Bio sam spreman da se ukrcaju preostalo Delta let iz Narita u Singapuru. Evo i gle, iznenađenje iznenađenje .... the Japanese check-in attendant stopped me as she checked my economy class boarding pass. She gestured to me to wait, paused, and promptly swapped my economy ticket to business class! Wow! I didn’t even ask for it. Nevertheless, I was happy and thankful to God for the upgrade. 15 August 2012 – my next business trip was to Taipei. I was traveling Singapore airlines. My company’s policy was to fly economy class for intra Asia short haul flights. 28 August 2012 - Ovaj put, Nadogradnja je od gospodarstva do poslovnog klase na Silkair! Bio sam putovao iz Singapura do Penang za posao. Kao što sam se spremao ukrcati na let na vratima, check-in polaznik zamijenili moje ekonomskoj klasi boarding pass za rukom pisane poslovne klase nadogradnje. Bio sam zabavlja na rukom napisano "boarding pass", ali hej, Tko je gunđanje? Did I ask for an upgrade? Nope. I was handed one. Upgrade #4 od 7.

9 October 2012 – Upgrade #5 od 7 took place as I was flying from Los Angeles to Seattle on Alaska Airlines. Again, I didn’t ask for it but I was given the 1st row seat! I have zero mileage status on Alaska Airlines.

8 Prosinac 2012 – it was close to the end of 2012. I had my final business trip to Japan. Incredibly, Singapore Airlines upgraded me without me asking for it from Singapore to Narita airport. To je nadogradnja # 6 od 7.

31 Prosinac 2012 – the final and most incredible upgrade was for my entire family when we were flying back from Sydney to Singapore on Scoot Airlines! Scoot is a budget carrier. It was my 1st time flying with them and I didn’t do a good job planning for the family when I booked the tickets. I didn’t get the family to sit together because I ‘thought’ I could request for us to sit together upon check-in. I was horrified to find out at check-in that my whole family was scattered across various parts of the airplane as I was too ‘cheap skate’ to pay for the few extra $ to secure a row of seats initially. My wife wasn’t impressed with me at all when we found out as we were checking in.

Anyway, the check-in lady was kind, and said to me along the lines of, “Mr. Chan, would you like to sit together?"

“Yes”

“Well, we have the ‘premium economy’ seats in which we could seat all 4 of your family together. I think I can put your family there. Would you like it?"

“Uhmm. That’ll be great”, I muttered

“OK. Dobro, we usually charge for the seats, but this time we will offer it to you and upgrade your family to seat together at no extra charge”

Orrhhh. I almost fainted in relief.

I couldn’t believe it. I was even ‘upgraded’ on a budget carrier!!

U 2012, I had encountered 7 unusual, consecutive upgrades ranging from the middle of economy seats to front of economy. I was upgraded from economy to business class. What’s the moral of the story? The moral story is that you don’t work for God’s favor. The Bible says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who^[a] have been called according to his purpose”.

After that 7 consecutive upgrades in 2012, I have not been upgraded since. It doesn’t matter. I learnt a big lesson about God’s favor that you can’t work for it. Bog vam daje prednost, jer On želi.
